< Back Independent Rider Program Our rider program for our more advanced independent riders Our independent riding program has met with great success. Our first group of riders moved up from our Equine assisted learning classes. They completed a full year this fall not only attaining the necessary skills but also and most of all the confidence to ride. To see parents and grandparents taking pictures as they witness the growth and excitement that comes with that freedom and responsibility is priceless. About Us Finding Inspiration in Every Turn Purple Pony is a therapeutic horsemanship program serving individuals with disabilities from ages 4 through late adulthood. The sheltering and training of horses combines with our membership with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Int'l.) to provide therapy lessons & equine care education. Our programs are lead by PATH Int'l. certified instructors and provide the forum for beneficial equine therapy leading to quality of life enhancement through educational recreation. Quick Facts 20+ Years of incredible lessons to our riders 45+ Volunteers that participate on a weekly basis with our riders. 30+ Riders participate in weekly lessons and care of our therapy horses. 540+ Lessons provided alone this year. We have an indoor and outdoor riding arena for our lessons with multiple pastures for our horses. Outdoor Sensory Trail Our sensory trail is an amazing feature that riders can traverse through and navigate obstacles set out for them and their horses! The trail is filled with various obstacles that challenge riders skills and senses!
