Our Values: Communication Ground Work Program Our Groundwork Program has completed its third successful year! This program offers riders an opportunity to build confidence, develop physical well-being, and strengthen their connection with their horse partner. From hands-on grooming and tacking to learning the routines and responsibilities of working with a horse, riders develop valuable skills while building trust and a special bond with their equine partner. The nine-week program culminates in a judged showmanship routine, highlighting the riders’ newly developed skills as they work together with their faithful steed as one. It has been especially rewarding to see longtime riders transition into the Groundwork Program, discover a place where they truly shine, and excel in their new skills. Purple Pony is a PATH international program that follows the profession association of therapeutic horsemanship guidelines. Our instructors are fully PATH Certified.

About Us Finding Inspiration in Every Turn Purple Pony is a therapeutic horsemanship program serving individuals with disabilities from ages 4 through late adulthood. The sheltering and training of horses combines with our membership with the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Int'l.) to provide therapy lessons & equine care education. Our programs are lead by PATH Int'l. certified instructors and provide the forum for beneficial equine therapy leading to quality of life enhancement through educational recreation.
